Vision

The vision for Royal Belarus is extremely practical and forward-looking. Royal Belarus is not simply a historical memorial, but a dynamic entity whose sovereignty can readily be transferred from theory into practical reality.

In order to establish Royal Belarus as a territorial sovereign state, it is necessary to obtain sovereign territory. That sovereign territory need not be in present-day Belarus – in fact it could be anywhere in the world. Past states like the Russian Empire and the British Empire expanded overseas without limitation of geography. In practical terms, the means of obtaining sovereign territory today is to negotiate its purchase from a government which currently holds unquestioned sovereignty over the territory in question, a process which will require high-level talks with government representatives over an extended period. The initial territory need not be large, but it should be suitable for use for development. Possibilities include existing undeveloped land, existing islands, or new man-made artificial islands constructed offshore. The government responsible for the sale of sovereign territory will need to receive a number of assurances; that the sale and intended use of the land will aid its own prosperity and further its own interests, that its use will be conducive to environmental and infrastructure objectives, and that the transaction will result in a peaceful and politically non-contentious settlement where any pre-existing rights of access and settlement are respected. As part of any agreement, the country selling the sovereign territory will take initial responsibility for the defence of Royal Belarus and will be given official representation in the Royal Belarusian government.

At a rough estimate, the cost of purchase of sovereign land is likely to run into the high tens of millions US$ plus research and development costs. The cost of development of the land is likely to be in the low hundreds of millions US$. In such matters it is generally necessary to gather significant financial backing either from a single donor of significant wealth, or a consortium established for the furtherance of common interests. The appeal of Royal Belarus is likely to be primarily to Belarusians who are opposed to the Lukashenko regime and wish to see as an alternative an independent Belarusian monarchist state that is not dominated by Russia. However, others from outside Belarus are also likely to be interested in the vision that Royal Belarus offers, particularly as that vision involves significant potential profitability and investor return.

Once sovereign territory is obtained, we aim to establish a special economic zone in which it is possible to trade without many of the restrictions that affect modern commerce, similar to an offshore financial centre. It is anticipated that key features of the economic zone will be an openness to cryptocurrency and the facilitation of the establishment of flexible international banking structures dealing both in and beyond cryptocurrency.

As a theocratic absolute monarchy, Royal Belarus is free from much of the bureaucracy that attends republics or constitutional monarchies, and offers stability and extensive heritage. Its intended form of government has most in common with the highly prosperous nation of Brunei, whose Sultan is the head of state and head of government. For Royal Belarus, the Prince of Miensk (who will become Czar of Royal Belarus once sovereign territory is obtained) will rule assisted and advised by a series of Councils appointed by him and subject to the overall Constitution issued by him which sets out the rights and responsibilities of citizens.
